This summer, many VSU students are leaving the country to visit and study in foreign places.

VSU has a lot of opportunities for students to go to England, Germany, France, and many other places, learning language, business, sociology and other topics.

Jennifer Thomas, a second year business major, is taking advantage of the business program in Germany.

“I am going to Germany because it’s a once in a lifetime chance to get to go to Europe, it will also me an amazing opportunity to learn about my major (business management) since I am going with the college of business,” Thomas said. “I hope it will help me in the future with jobs, having some international experience.”

The trip to Germany is from June 25 till July 23 and costs a total of $3750. This includes the travel, housing, events, and some food. Even if you don’t have the money, there are still financial aid programs that can help you.

“Don’t use money as an excuse not to go, they offer tons of scholarships, financial aid is paying for almost all of my trip,” said Thomas.

The Hope scholarship and Pell Grants can be applied to these programs along with specialized scholarships.
