We tried Pita Pit this week, and we were very impressed.
The Pita Pit is located on Baytree St. and is college-student friendly. Not only is The Pita Pit located close to campus, they are open late to accommodate those late-night cravings, and they deliver Friday and Saturday nights until 3 a.m. Regular store hours are 9 a.m to midnight Sunday through Wednesday and 9 a.m. to 4 a.m. Thursday through Saturday.
The Pita Pit offers a wide variety of pitas and salads. Their menu gives meat options, and they allow you to pick your toppings. They also offer a breakfast and vegetarian menu that is available all day.
The Pita Pit has about 40 different toppings and sauces to complete your perfect customized pita.
One drawback is the prices. An entire meal (pita, chips and a drink) costs around $10, but you always have the option of taking your pita home and using your own side items. Doing this will save you about $3. The cheapest items on the menu are the vegetarian pitas, most of which costs $ 5.50. The most expensive item on the menu is the Dagwood pita, $ 6.65.
The Pita Pit’s atmosphere is another perk of the restaurant. It’s very cozy and comfortable. The tables are spacious, and you have enough room to move around. They also offer an outdoor seating area.
We both decided to try pitas. Dana tried the chicken breast pita and McKaylee tried the Dagwood. We were very pleased with both of our pitas. They cooked the meat in front of us so it was nice and warm when we got it, and we were able pick our own toppings so we knew we were getting exactly what we wanted.
Overall we are giving the Pita Pit four stars. We were content with our experience and wee recommend that you check it out for yourself.
