This week we decided to try Jimmy John’s. Jimmy John’s is one of the newer restaurants in town and is located on Baytree Road.
The atmosphere at Jimmy John’s is fun and inviting. The inside is dimly lit and there are funny signs on the wall that will keep you entertained while you wait for your order.
When you enter the restaurant the counter is directly in front of you. As you order the employees begin making your sandwich. It goes down a line until it reaches the end where it is wrapped and you can take it to one of their many tables.
Jimmy John’s menu offers many different kinds of subs. You can either choose from an 8” sandwich or a giant club sandwich. The giant club sandwich is still only 8”, but it has more meat and toppings to make it more filling. The 8” inch sub comes with less meat, but it is still enough food to satisfy a smaller appetite. You can choose from many different kinds of meat or if you’re a vegetarian they offer a vegetarian sandwich.  You can also add chips for an extra dollar and a soda for $1.29.

Jimmy John’s also offers Plain Slims, for $3.50, which is any of the sandwiches without the sauce and vegetables. Also, for big appetites, there is The J.J. gargantuan sandwich. This sandwich costs $7.50 and consists of five different types of meat, provolone cheese, onions, mayo, Italian dressing, lettuce and tomatoes.
McKaylee ordered a Country Club which includes turkey, ham, provolone, lettuce, tomato and mayo and Dana ordered the Big John which consists of roast beef, mayo, lettuce and tomatoes on homemade French bread. The only downside to the sandwiches is that Jimmy John’s only offers one type of cheese, so if you don’t like Provolone you have to go without cheese, but the sandwiches were good without cheese.
Jimmy John’s prices were pretty reasonable.The smaller sandwiches were $4.50 and the bigger sandwiches were $5.50.
We’re giving Jimmy John’s three stars. We enjoyed our sandwiches and we suggest that you try them out for yourselves.
