Slap Daddy’s recently opened in Valdosta so we decided to try it out. Slap Daddy’s offers a fun, energetic environment with affordable food.

Slap Daddy’s décor is a throwback to the 1950s diner. The inside is decorated with small quaint tables for couples and small groups. The tables are covered with red and white tablecloths that made Dana feel as if she were on a picnic. As you go down the line you can watch the cooks make your food.

After you order you can sit down and the employees will bring your food to you. Slap Daddy’s offers hot dogs, hamburgers, hand-cut fries, smoothies, and desserts. You can add chili or coleslaw to your hot dog or hamburger for an additional price. There are also many other condiments that may be added to your meal for free.

The prices are cheap, with a hot dog costing a little over a dollar. A full meal consisting of a hot dog, fries and a drink costs approximately $5.

We both ordered hot dogs. Dana’s was a regular dog and McKaylee ordered a chili dog. The chili was very good, much better than regular canned chili. The hot dog bun became a little soggy from all of the chili, but was still delicious. We felt like kids eating hot dogs, the only thing missing was mac-n-cheese.

Slap Daddy’s is a fast cheap place to eat that is near campus. It is a fun alternative to the regular fast-food restaurant options.

We are giving Slap Daddy’s four and a half stars. We enjoyed our meals and recommend that everyone try Slap Daddy’s.
