Are you ready for Spring Break? The office of Alcohol and Other Drug Education will host their annual Safe Spring Break Fair Wednesday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. in Palms Quad.
“The fair will have valuable information to allow students to make good choices and come back safely from spring break” Mark Williams, Coordinator of the Alcohol and Other Drug Education office, said.
The fair will have information to influence smart decision making during spring break, information on alcohol and drug abuse, and sexual transmitted diseases. There will be free HIVtesting, a drug-dog demonstration, free food and a DJ.
Student Health will be working with the South Health district to offer free HIV testing on a first come first serve basis. Normally, the student health does a blood test for HIV from $19.95.
The Safe Spring Break testing will be done by taking a swab of the inside mouth and results will be available in approximately three minutes.
On-campus as well as off-campus organizations will be present at the fair such as Student Health, several Greek organizations such as:  Phi Mu, Zeta Tau Alpha, Zeta Phi Beta, and Sigma Nu, and Gamma and other volunteers.
