Baseball game cancelled due to rain

Whoever said, “Rain is a Good Thing”? That would be country star Luke Byran.  If you asked the Blazer baseball team, to give an opinion on the phrase, they would probably disagree.
The Blazers’ Tuesday season opener, was canceled due to rain. The team will now have to weather the anticipation that carries them into the season. Instead of traveling to Americus to take on Georgia Southwestern, the Blazers look forward to a three game series this weekend.

Tomorrow night, they will take their talents down to Florida, and battle the Saint Leo Lions. The rest of the series will finish in a doubleheader Saturday afternoon at 1 p.m..
For now the new baseball year has to wait, while the rain will not and hit songs continue to tease. The forecast for the game tomorrow calls for 20 percent chance of rain and baseball looks to begin. Tuesday’s game has been rescheduled to April 26.
