Intramurals near playoffs

Coming up on their third month, the Valdosta State intramural teams are becoming notable.

Softball co-rec team Tilikum played Don’t Ask Don’t Tell on Tuesday.

“Even though we’re all competing against each other, I’m having a good time,” Tilikum right-fielder Megan Deal said. “I love being outdoors and meeting new people that attend the same school as me. It’s a great way to network.”

On their first game of the day, Tilikum was excited.

“Previously we’ve had four games and didn’t win most, but we still enjoy ourselves,” Deal said.

With different competitors every week, the team is preparing for their upcoming game on Tuesday at 7pm.

Co-rec soccer team Hopper Dynasty is ready for the playoffs.

Having equal wins and losses, Hopper Dynasty is making sure they are at their best for their future rivals.

“We really try to get our practices in with the team on the front lawn every Sunday,” Jarell Lewis, former Hopper Dynasty forward and mid, said. “We try to have everyone on the same rapport when practicing. Every practice improves our skills.”

Both Tilikum and Hopper Dynasty request that more students come out and cheer them on at their games.
