As one of four daughters in an Air Force home, life was always eventful! Kate has lived her life in four states and two countries thus far. Because of the constant moving around, Kate and her three sisters have become best friends.
Kate started her life in New Mexico. At the age of four she took her first plane ride to Iceland, where she lived with her family for one year. Then she moved to Camp Douglas, Wisconsin for four years.
After that, Kate and her family moved to the GREAT state of IOWA.
GO HAWKEYES!!
In Fort Dodge, Ia. she attended Saint Edmond High School, the home of the Gales! While in high school she participated in swim team, volleyball, softball, and golf.
Although Iowa was home she had to make one more move. That move was to Warner Robins, Georgia where she attended Houston County High for her senior year.
After high school she made her way down I-75 to attend VSU. Kate originally started college off as a biology major, but soon realized that cutting things open just was not as cool as it sounded. She finally made the decision to major in journalism and shortly after found her way onto the Spectator staff.
Kate is actively involved in her sorority Zeta Tau Alpha, where she enjoys volunteering for Habitat for Humanity and participating in events that raise money for Breast Cancer Awareness and Education.
