Golf team excels in final round to finish 3rd at Conf. Championships

Valdosta State finished third in the GSC Championships at the Hot Springs Country Club in Hot Springs, Arkansas. A final round of 280 (-8) on Tuesday was enough to move the Blazers from fifth to third at the par-72, 6,690-yard course. The Blazers finished the tournament with a total of 877 (+13), 21 strokes behind tournament winner West Florida shot an 856 (-8) and seven strokes behind second place North Alabama who finished with a 870 (+6).
