This season, Coach Thomas Macera has said the team needs to play more games in order to get in more of a rhythm. Well, his team got just what the coach wanted as they went into a weekend full of games.

The VSU softball team had a long weekend with a full slate of games and they showed up playing their best. The Blazers beat the Argonauts by scores of 4-0 and 11-3. Following the sweep, VSU rolled past Lambuth by winning both games 12-0 and 19-0. The 19 runs would be a season high until

The VSU softball team had a busy weekend scheduled against North Alabama and West Alabama, but they also got an unwanted visit from the rain. Whenever a VSU sports team defeats rival West Georgia, it makes for a good weekend. Following two losses against Alabama-Huntsville, the highly ranked Blazers softball team went to Carrollton and beat West Georgia twice, by scores of 6-2 and 2-0, completing the sweep. The Lady Blazers basketball team notched their first conference victory last week and on Saturday, followed it up by getting their first road win by defeating Lambuth 57-49.
