A new off-campus housing option is now available for VSU students.
What will attract students most to these apartments is the proximity to campus, according to founder Kurt Lamon.
“Living at CarronOak eliminates the constant parking hassle,” according to the CarronOak Web site.
The CarronOak student housing, which is located on Oak Street across from Palms Dining Center, consists of flats on the bottom floor and townhouses on the second.
“These are being built because of the demand of student housing within walking distance from campus,” Lamon said.
The facility is set to open on Aug. 1, although applications are already being accepted by Lamon.
According to the website, applications can be submitted online with a $50 application fee.
“I already have a stack of applications and we are going to start going through them and getting people approved,” Lamon said.
Prices range from $475 to $525, depending on the size of the flat or townhouse.
The new premiere student housing will have three available housing options for VSU students. Students will be able to choose a two-bedroom, three-bedroom or four-bedroom design, each with a private bathroom for every resident.
The monthly rent will include cable and internet and 24-hour video surveillance.
