Did this week’s movie review in the Spectator make you want to see ‘A Haunted House?’ According to fandango.com, it will be playing at 12:30 p.m., 2:45 p.m., 5:10 p.m., 7:30 p.m. and 10 p.m. today, Saturday and Sunday at Valdosta Stadium Cinemas on Baytree Rd.

1. If you’re a bowler, check out Jac’s Bowling Lanes on 406 Connell Rd. Their weekend admission prices are as follows: Friday (11 a.m. to 6 p.m.) $2.75 per game, Friday (6 p.m. to 1:30 a.m.) $4.25 per game, Saturday $4.25 per game and Sunday $3.75 per game. 2. Are you an outdoorsy type of person and love to be active? Visit McKey Park on Burton Ave. near North Campus. There are tennis courts, a track with a field, a playground and a barbequing area. You can get some friends together and have a relaxing day.

 

3. If you enjoy orchestra and you love to support your fellow students, senior viola player Claudia Encinas will be participating in a recital today at 7:30 p.m. in the Whitehead Auditorium of the Fine Arts building. To learn more about her, visit http://ww2.valdosta.edu/sgsp/staff.php.

 

4. If the little kid in you is eager to come out, you should check out Jungle Jym’s on 3124 N. Oak Street Ext. You can participate in miniature golf and play arcade games. Great date night. If you want, you could bring your younger cousins or niece and nephew to go and enjoy the bounce houses and soft play area. They also have a Jungle Café Concession with food and drinks.
