Through the cold months of December and January, the VSU women’s softball team practiced almost every day in preparation for the upcoming season that begins every February.
One senior has really stood out to those in the VSU softball community.
Courtney Albritton is a senior utility player for the Lady Blazers, meaning she is capable of playing many different positions on the field and thrives in all of them.
At three years old, Albritton found her love for sports as she began playing T-ball and slowly growing into the fast pace of softball in Sycamore, Georgia.
“It was fun and exciting,” Albritton said. “It was always a group of girls to hang out with that all liked the same thing.”
Growing up in a small town, Albritton found something to take up her time as she played throughout high school. She attended a small private school in Tift County with a graduating class of 38 people.
