Front lawn policy

– Recurring events or activities on eight or more participants on the front lawn must be reserved through event services.
– Front lawn events/activities must be sponsored by a registered student organization or university department.
– Regulary scheduled repetitive outdoor activitiesmust be registered through event services.
– The following is not allowed on the front lawn: cleats, vehicles whom do not have approval from event services and profanity.
– Front lawn events involving radio stations, bands, DJs or other sound amplification must be identified at the time of the reservation request with event services.
– Front lawn events with amplified sound are only allowed on Friday and Saturdays, unless prior approval is given by the Director of Event Services.
-VSU PD will monitor sound levels and inform users when sound levels must be lowered.
– For events involving drinks and food, no disposal of ice from coolers or ash from cookers is allowed on the front lawn.
– All front lawn events must dispose of trash in receptables after the event.
– Users cannot hand any items, signage or banners from light posts, fences, treers or anyother landscaping on the front lawn.
– Users or their guest may not block any access ways, pathways, sidewalks, handicap ramps or other areas during events.
– Vendors are not allowed without approval.
-All table, chairs and tents must be event service issued.
– All events must be suspended due to inclement weather.
