Clubs to join this semester

Freshman year is all about finding your niche and making a mark. With over 200 plus campus organizations, campus life is definitely a good start to making your college career one to remember. Check out just a few of our campus organizations that just might spark your interest!

Dance Club

With a different style every week, this organization is open to everyone. If you just want to have fun or want to work on your moves, Dance Club meets every Friday from 2-3:30 in the University Center Dance Studio, room 2108. New comers are always welcome with open arms.

#HappyPeriod

Servicing women in the community and potentially the world, #HappyPeriod is a service organization that helps provide sanitary resources to those who can’t afford them. They meet from 6:30-7:30 p.m. in Georgia Hall Classroom for anyone who is interested or would like to know more.

VSU SHARE in AFRICA

SHARE in Africa is a non-profit campus organization which helps provide funding for African girls education.  If you love lending a helping hand and providing for those in need, SHARE in Africa is definitely for you. Meetings are at 7 p.m. in Odum Library Auditorium. Stop by and start your journey to making a difference.

Collegiate Women of VSU

This organization has the ladies in purple with the ultimate purpose. Collegiate Women focuses on bringing together women of all ethnicities and empowering them to be the best versions of themselves. Always giving back to the community, Collegiate Women make sure they lend a hand in any way they can. They meet every other Saturday in the Student Union Meeting room 1A at 2 p.m.

Collegiate Men of VSU

Collegiate Men of VSU is an organization dedicated to the empowerment of men, creating leaders of tomorrow and building men of good character. They have a presence in the community that is always willing to give back and lend a helping hand. These distinguished men can be found in Powell Hall every other Wednesday at 7 p.m.

Media Arts Geniuses (M.A.G)

MAG is an organization dedicated to creatives. Showcasing the talents of students around campus, they are one of the most popular organizations at VSU. Each student who joins is an addition to a family who focuses on the growth and individualism of each member. They welcome all talents such as singing, acting, photography, art and dance and so much more.  If you are interested, they can be found on Sept. 18 in Powell Hall Auditorium at 6 p.m.

Model Mentors

Model Mentors is an organization that gives back to the community through service and outreach youth programs. They focus on the empowerment of youth and making sure students are given a bright future while understanding the importance of an education. If you are interested in being a positive role model for those who may need it, Model Mentors meets biweekly on Wednesdays at 6:30 p.m. in Bailey Auditorium 1023.

The FirePit

This organization is school spirit oriented and focuses on the elevation of school spirit and overall experience for VSU students. The FirePit has no requirements and is open to everyone who would like to help make the VSU experience a little better. With various tasks and ways you can help, they has a space for everyone to fit in. They will meet Tuesday and Thursday before each home football game.

We Need to Talk VSU

The student organization, #WeNeedTotalk, focuses on promoting issue awareness and bringing together people of all types. Their mission is to create environments where people can feel comfortable sharing ideas and experiences to empower one another.
